again it's another holiday n im stuck here..
the worst part if the cafe n koop is closed 2..so im out of option for food..luckily there's enough maggi for me 2 last a week..
but the best thing is its so peaceful..very quiet..n d lab is not crowded with people so i can do my work easily..but stil cant shake the feeling of being in a ghost town..
so, the labwork n experiment has been going smoothly..there's a few things not so fine now and then..
animal got sick...blood sample hemolysed..lens crushed..but it's manageable still..
but the climax is today!
I went to the breeding room as usual..happily singing..only to find one of my treatment group rat is dead!
DEAD!
No head..body half eaten by the fellow cagemates??
Quite a shock because the last time i've seen that is when we still had hamster at home...which is like..9 years ago..
Ok..dispose the carcass properly and reported to the LACU staff..
Dee has freak out..she's been MIA for 1 hour before coming back to do our work..
Another shock came when we are changing the bedding of the animals..today is bedding changing day btw..
Guess what??? Found another dead body on another cage...
We make quite a ruckus in the breeding room at the moment...
This time its not our rats..but still..we began 2 thinks what's is going on here?
Dr N says its normal for rats to drop dead suddenly..she's experienced it before..so..ok maybe its just a freak coincidence right?
Then, when KR change her rats bedding later, she also found one of her rats dead..DEAD RAT again?
3 in 1 day?
Is it still consider a coincidence?
So, today is totally a freaky friday for us..
Hope no more dead rats tomorrow ye~
